If your dryer is heating but it is taking a long time for the clothing to dry this could be a result of an obstruction to the dryer vent.
It is a good idea to check:
A. the 4 inch vent hose behind the dryer for kinks
B. The vent outlet (located outside the house) for an obstruction.
C. If there was an obstruction, there is most likely a lint buildup inside the hose and the machine.
D. The machine should be checked for a lint buildup as well since this could pose a safety and fire hazard.
